Today, October 8, is DAF Day!

A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable investment account you can set up individually that allows you to make a tax-deductible contribution, grow those assets tax-free, and recommend donations to your favorite charities over time.

From vision to reality!

Thanks to the vision of Leighton educators Dr. Sweeney, Mrs. VanFossen, and Mrs. Leone, this dream has officially come to life!

Yesterday evening, ASF was honored to celebrate the opening of the new Leighton amphitheater outdoor classroom—a space created for students and the entire community to learn, gather, create, and connect with the outdoors.

💚 It was especially meaningful to hear such beautiful words shared regarding former Aurora educator, Sherri Retton, and to dedicate this space in her memory. Her impact on Aurora Schools and generations of students will continue to be part of this special place.

💚 A huge thank you to the educators who dreamed it, our incredible community partners who helped make it possible, and JJ’s Beautification for bringing the vision to life in such a beautiful way.

💚 Meet ASF’s New Student Ambassadors!💚

We’re excited to welcome two exceptional students, Julia Stockdale (AHS junior) and Yashasvi Konduru (AHS senior), as the newest student ambassadors for Aurora Schools Foundation!

You may recognize Yash for his role in establishing Aurora's first-ever Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at AHS. Yash and the FBLA group secured state and national placements!

You'll likely see Julia eloquently managing her time competing in or photographing sporting events, focusing on her AP studies, creating music, and so much more!

We are honored they are dedicating their time and skills to ASF and we look forward to seeing their leadership on the ASF board this year!✨
