The Aurora Schools Foundation joins our community in mourning the loss of Barb Brookhart.
Barb dedicated 35 years to public education as a music educator, inspiring generations of students through her passion for learning and creativity, in the arts and beyond the classroom. She was a devoted member of the community, serving through the Church in Aurora and as a supporter of the Aurora Schools Foundation. Her impact on students, colleagues, families, and community members will be felt for years to come.
We extend our deepest condolences to Gary Brookhart, ASF Honorary Lifetime Ex-Officio, Emeritus President, Trustee, and his family.
As many in our ASF family know, Gary’s vision, leadership, and service helped establish and shape the foundation over the past three decades. Barb was a steadfast partner in that journey, sharing a lifelong commitment to our students and community.
We are grateful for Barb‘s life, her service, and the legacy she leaves behind.
