Aurelia Hometown Pride is looking for volunteers to help plant a few trees on Tuesday, June 9. Many hands make light work! Let us know if you are available to help by commenting on this post or emailing [email protected]. We plan to meet at the community center at 9am.

We’re growing something great in Aurelia! 🌳
Aurelia Hometown Pride, in partnership with the City of Aurelia and Aurelia Kiwanis, has planted our first of two groups of trees funded by MidAmerican Energy’s Trees Please! program and matched by the City and Aurelia Municipal Utilities.

These trees are a community investment to green up Aurelia - providing shade, improving air quality, conserving energy, and enhancing the beauty of our town for years to come.
What an exciting partnership! A BIG thank you to everyone who helped make this effort a reality. And a special shoutout to Del’s Garden Center for your generous support!

🌳 Exciting News for Aurelia! 🌳

Thanks to our participants and partners - Aurelia has been awarded a MidAmerican Trees Please! grant to plant trees in the city right-of-way! 🎉 A special thanks to the City of Aurelia and Aurelia Municipal Electric for matching this effort!

So far, 9 residents have selected a tree to be planted between their property line and the street - helping grow a greener, more sustainable and beautiful community! 🌱
