Programs like the Michigan Law Enforcement Youth Academy (MLEYAC) are more than summer training—they’re life-changing opportunities.

If sweat were a badge, these explorers would be decorated officers by now.

From sunrise workouts to non-stop training in the summer heat, MLEYAC 2025 has been one sweaty success story. But through every soaked t-shirt and every drop of effort, these explorers proved that they don’t quit—they just hydrate and keep going.

They came to train, and the sweat says it all: mission accomplished.

The Michigan Law Enforcement Youth Academy (MLEYAC) 2025 is more than just a training program—it’s a test of heart, discipline, and determination.

Divided into four platoons, these young men and women came together from across Michigan with one mission: to challenge themselves, to grow, and to honor the values of law enforcement. Through long days, tough physical training, and intense lessons, they have shown strength beyond their years.

Each platoon carried its flag with pride, but together, they carried something greater—respect for the badge, for one another, and for the future they’re building.

We are proud of every cadet who stood tall this week. You are the reason the future of law enforcement is in good hands.

Congratulations to our 2025 MLEYTA Graduates!

A huge shoutout to the five outstanding explorers who successfully completed the 2025 MLEYTA academy! Your dedication and commitment throughout last week were impressive.

Among our group, one explorer earned top honors with the Physical Fitness Award, while another was recognized with the Academic Award — stellar achievements that highlight the excellence of this team.

Thank you all for your hard work and for rising to meet the challenge.

Congratulations MLEYTA graduates! Explorers stay with their group or "platoons" all week where bonds are formed over thier shared experiences. It isn't always easy but a consistent sentiment is the hard work is worth it. After graduation, the platoon reconveened to take one last photo together.
