The 2026 summer schedule for in-person Invasive Plant Patrol workshops is now available 📅💧. These workshops provide hands-on training to help volunteers identify and report aquatic invasive plants while supporting lake stewardship efforts across Maine 🌱🔍.

Whether you’re new to IPP or looking to refresh your skills, these workshops are a great way to get involved and help protect Maine’s lakes 🤝🌊.

We had a great turnout for yesterday's Live Stake Workshop! Thanks to Jordan and John from DEP Nonpoint Source Training Center and Kennebec Soil and Water Conservation District for partnering with WLA for this informative training. We had some hands on lessons to learn all about live staking and how we can improve our shoreline to reduce runoff and protect Togus Pond. Our friends from Lake Winnecook visited Togus Pond this morning to see the Alum treatment as they prepare for one on their lake next year. A chilly day for the SOLitude crew!

It's happening, the second Alum treatment is finally here during Earth Week! The team from SOLitude arrived Monday and will be out on the water each day. You'll see their barge as well as Tristan from Lake Stewards of Maine on the lake. Lots of moving parts for this to take place. Thanks to all the volunteers that are also helping out this week monitoring the shorelines each day!
