Over the past several days, Pastor Robert has continued traveling throughout Uganda, preaching, teaching, and encouraging pastors, church planters, and congregations across the region. From Fort Portal to the Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, God has continued to open doors for ministry in incredible ways. 🙏🏽🌍
While in Fort Portal, Robert spoke to 114 pastors and church planters representing 91 churches and more than 1,500 congregants across southwestern Uganda. He shared that Fort Portal had some of the coolest weather he has ever experienced anywhere in Africa — and the joyful welcome from local pastors and leaders made the experience even more memorable!
The ministry then continued in the Kyaka II Refugee Settlement after an early morning drive from Fort Portal. Robert preached in a Pentecostal church called Sychar — a name found in the Gospel of John near Jacob’s Well — which felt especially fitting in such a dry and difficult region. More than 300 people gathered together for worship, prayer, and teaching, worshipping with incredible joy and passion. Robert shared how amazed he continues to be by the strength and anointing God provides in moments of preaching and ministry, even through exhaustion and long travel days. This portion of the trip brought the team closest to the DRC border and the current Ebola outbreak region.
Robert is currently traveling home, and we ask you to continue covering him in prayer as he returns to the United States. Please pray for safe travels, smooth flights, protection from illness, and ease of entry through the enhanced Ebola screening procedures currently in place for travelers returning from the region. We also ask for continued prayer over Uganda and the DRC, for protection, healing, wisdom for healthcare workers and leaders, and peace for the communities affected by the outbreak. ❤️
