Sarah Childers with Visit Augusta shared with a room full of Community Grants applicants ways to rethink the site visit experience for our volunteer panel members as they kick off this portion of the process. The organizations were challenged to think of ways to use our 5 senses to tell the story of their work, ensuring that the memory remains long after the visit ends. We are grateful for community partners who work with us to strengthen nonprofits in our region and look forward to receiving funding recommendations later this month. Our over 200 volunteers have a huge task ahead of them!

We were honored to visit the Paralyzed Veterans of America Southeastern Chapter to see firsthand how adaptive air r***e shooting is being used as part of inpatient therapy for newly injured veterans in partnership with the VA.

It was inspiring to see these veterans build confidence, strength, and new skills through adaptive recreation. We also love to see the impact of organizations working together to support veterans as they navigate a new chapter.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn more about this meaningful work happening in our community.

Our Capacity Building Cohort spent the day exploring how a strong brand can turn into a compelling fundraising campaign.

A local philanthropist is challenging the community to raise funds to support the Community Foundation for the CSRA's new campaign.

Rob Johnston who is a local philanthropist is challenging the community to raise $1 million and he will match $1 million to the Community Foundation for the CSRA Community Grants Program to raise $1 million.
