Today was the Students2Work Match Lunch! 👏

Students had the opportunity to meet their employer partners and take the next step toward their summer work experiences.

The day also included the final session of Soft Skills Training, featuring Dr. Tom Clark, President & CEO of the CSRA Alliance for Fort Gordon, as well as a Financial Literacy presentation by Yvonne Meeks of SRP Federal Credit Union . Students also heard from Bonita Jefferies Jenkins, Special Populations Coordinator at Augusta Technical College and community advocate, who shared insights on personal growth, perseverance, and preparing for future success.

We're excited to see these students put their skills into practice as they begin their workplace experiences across the CSRA!

Georgia’s May primary did not end on Election Day.

When no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote, Georgia law requires a runoff. This year, the runoff is June 16, and it includes races up and down the ballot.

We are sharing this because clear information helps people understand the election process and make their own plan.

Students also participated in an Interactive Brand Session, learning how to communicate their strengths, develop their personal brand, and make a positive first impression in professional settings.

🎤 Students heard from an outstanding lineup of community leaders, educators, and workforce advocates, including:
• Mayor Garnett Johnson
• Natalie Butler, Associate Vice President of Workforce & Professional Development, Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce
• Dr. Malinda Cobb, Superintendent, Richmond County School System
