PUSH Your President To Sign

PUSH Your President To Sign There is power in collective action. Be a student that PUSHes their university leaders to speak out against hunger and malnutrition.

That is why dozens of university leaders gathered in February 2014 to consider how the teaching, research, outreach and student engagement activities of their respective institutions could make a united contribution to the global effort of ending hunger and malnutrition. A consensus outcome of this historic meeting, hosted by Auburn's Hunger Solutions Institute, in partnership with the Association

of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), was the Presidents' Commitment to Food and Nutrition Security. This commitment already has the endorsement of university presidents form around the world. It establishes a framework for collaboration and a blueprint for an action agenda to bolster the work of institutions of higher education to become the tipping point in the fight against hunger and malnutrition. The Commitment can be found at www.pushtosign.org

Students at campuses all over the world are PUSHing their presidents to sign the Presidents' Commitment to Food and Nutrition Security and standing with their peers to declare that hunger and malnutrition have no place in the 21st century. PUSH is also endorsed by a number of other organizations focused on food and nutrition security, including The Alliance to End Hunger, Zero Hunger Challenge, WFP, BIFAD, FAO, Hunger Solutions Institute, and Global Partnerships Forum
