We are Tegan and Dave, a married couple who have been rescuing stray cats for 10+ years. Currently, we live in Auburn, NY and our neighborhood has a large feral and stray cat population. Our hearts are bigger than our ability to keep more pets (we already have 3 cats, 2 dogs, and one horse--all rescues), so we can only offer our guest bedroom to one cat at a time (thus the name "The Guest Bedroom:
A Cat Rescue"), and we can only rescue cats who could not survive without our help (the injured, the very young...) We also offer food and shelter to the feral cats that find their way onto our patio but are too wild to rehome. Our "operation" is funded entirely by ourselves and our family and we adopt our animals out by word-of-mouth alone, so we need all the help we can get to find these kitties excellent homes as fast as possible! Please like and share our page and our updates with as many people as possible. For our part, we do our best to make sure these cats are socialized and healthy. All cats are FeLV/FIV negative, have all their vaccines, are on regular parasite control, and are spayed/neutered unless otherwise noted. Since these cats are strays, many times they will be shy with new people and animals at first but will become loving and friendly family members with time and patience.
