Boggy Depot and member Robert Bonnet will hosting a field day at Robert's place in SE Hughes county, about 25 miles west of McAlister.

Robert had a burn a couple months ago and Justin Hinton, our Quail Forever biologist says the results are super impressive.

Saturday, June 20th at 11 am.

We'll meet, greet, have lunch, then tour Robert's property with Justin explaining what we're seeing.

Cost will be $15 to cover lunch and drinks.

There'll be a flyer forth coming with more info and directions.

Side x sides will be appreciated , especially 2 seaters that can haul 4-5 people .

Okay folks, save the date.

March 20, 2027, the Second Annual Clays for Quail shoot at Snake Creek Shooting Sports in Beggs Oklahoma.

The first shoot was a big success and we plan to make this one bigger and better.

Two weeks out y'all.

The next meeting of the Boggy Depot Chapter of Quail Forever will be held on Thursday, May 14th, at Angel's Diner in McAlister, Oklahoma at 6:30 PM.

This will kick off our chapter's second year. There'll be plenty to discuss going forward into our next year so please, be there if you can.

Good news! The proposed federal prohibitions on live lure training of dogs and open field coursing have been REMOVED from the latest version of the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 – aka the 2026 Farm Bill! Thanks to the thousands of hunters and bird dog owners who called and emailed their representatives, and to Glenn Thompson for helping PF & QF to protect our hunting heritage!

Pictures from the banquet.

Several people made a point to tell me how much they enjoyed it and I've received several messages today saying the same.

It takes sponsors, donors and attendees along with a full crew working these events to be successful.

Boggy Depot was fortunate to have all four.

Our first banquet is in the books. There were a couple of hitches during the evening, which were expected , but we worked through them.

A more complete write up is coming but for now, a big thank you to John Kerr and his House of Guns crew for handling the FFL work for us and support throughout our auction and to Chas Tillman, who was our auctioneer. And a great job he did.

We'd also like to thank the Hugo Oklahoma Ag teacher and FFA Shooting coach, Nathan Coulter for bringing four of his team members to help throughout the evening. They ran the games, helped us set up, took down and helped clean up and were a big help.

The Boggy Depot Team put in the work and it all came together.

Thanks to all that came and supported us, to all of the donors and to the officers and committee member for all they did.
