Have you been looking for a way to support members of our community? Please consider donating to our food pantry that directly serves families affected by detention and deportation. If you are part of a local club, using a meeting to sponsor the pantry is a great way to make an impact.

On the morning of June 28, 1969 NYPD would raid the Stonewall Inn. A gay bar in Greenwich Village. These raids were common back then because the authorities at the time considered the LGBTQ+ community to be a threat.

After the raid at the Stonewall Inn the community would decide to fight back, and they did. This moment has been cemented in LGBTQ+ history.

This month we celebrate those who have fought for the rights of others. Stay proud. 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍🌈

An internal memo sent to ICE employees states that they will no longer report the deaths of released detainees for deaths that occur within the first 30 days of release.

Why is this a problem? It is a problem because it makes it harder to hold ICE accountable. With all the news coming out about the state of the ICE detention centers it makes sense that they are trying to get ahead of lawsuits.

They know that they are guilty. As a matter of fact, a person was released back in 2020 and shortly died after due to Covid. This person contracted the disease while they were in detention and ICE did not provide any healthcare.

And now ICE is gettting $70 billion over the next three years. What is the Trump administration planning?
