We are thrilled to invite you to the 71st Annual Irishman of the Year Dinner, hosted by the NYCD Emerald
Society.
This year’s event will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Antun’s of Queens Village, located at
96-43 Springfield Blvd, Queens Village, NY.
The evening’s festivities will commence at 7 PM with Antun’s
Deluxe Cocktail Hour, followed by Award Presentations at 8 PM, an open bar, dinner, music and dancing,
featuring DJ Mike and the NYCD Pipes & Drums.
We are honored to recognize Richard Palmer, Retired Warden, 9/11 Advocate, and member of the NYCD Emerald Society Board of Trustees, as this year’s Irishman of the Year.
Additionally, we will present the
President James J. Mulvey Award to Timothy N. Cowen, Captain and Immediate Past President of the
NYCD Emerald Society.
The Stephen C. Hartigan Public Service Awards will be awarded to Benny Boscio Jr., President of the Correction Officers Benevolent Association, and Daniel Monaco, Legislative Chairman of the Correction Officers Benevolent Association, for their leadership and advocacy in Albany on behalf of correction officers and their families, particularly for their efforts to restore the 20-year pension for Tier 6 members.
Ticket subscriptions are $165 per person or $1,650 for a table of ten.
To commemorate the 2026 Irishman of
the Year Dinner, a souvenir journal will be published by the retired members of the Emerald Society.
Ticket

The deadline for ticket subscriptions and journal submissions is October 10, 2026.
After October 10, 2026
tickets can be purchased for $175 per person by Zelle until COB of October 15, 2026.
No tickets will be sold
at the door.
