Have you considered registering on ProMomProBaby.org/register ? It's important that you do. Why? Here's one of the answers we give in our F.A.Q section:

HOW WOULD JOINING THIS NETWORK HELP PERSUADE MOMS TO CHOOSE LIFE?
75% of the millions of women who've had abortions were living at or below the poverty line.* When asked in a survey why they chose to have an abortion one of the most common reasons they gave was their "inability to afford raising a child."

These parents need to know they won't be alone. If God's people would publicly pledge and follow through on what He has always called us to do for the widow, the orphan, the poor and sojourner** we believe we could alter a great many outcomes. However, this won't be easy. Fair or not, the current perception of the church is we only care that the child is born and then will back away once they are. So, even if your church is already doing this, the fact is they don't know it. This perception could be preventing many from turning to us in their hour of need. Imagine the number of lives we could forever alter if they did. Your church, clinic, small group or related service publicly pledging on this network helps change this perception.

An open letter to Pro-Life Clinics / Pregnancy Resource Centers and the Churches that support them:

I get the temptation to keep doing things the same way you’ve always done them. After all, what you’re able to do for mom’s by offering free ultrasounds and blankets, bottles, buggies etc. as well as lending a caring and compassionate ear, does show mom’s love and compassion. Furthermore, because it gives you some stories to share with donors, it does pay the bills and keeps your doors open.

However, good is often the enemy of great and I fear that one day the Lord will ask all of us in the pro life movement, “Why did you stop short of what I wanted from you?” Ultimately I believe he’s gonna ask us and our local churches, “Why didn’t you offer mom‘s tempted by abortion, especially those living at or below the poverty line, who are stuck in cyclical, generational patterns of destruction, a legitimate path towards the new life in the new kingdom?”

Now I’m fully aware that it takes both of us, our clinics and local churches to make this work. Neither can do it alone. But I will tell you this, you being the experts, the ones who've been on the front lines of this crisis, are the only ones who can speak prophetically and authoritatively, that what we’ve been doing, hasn’t changed any significant number of minds. Church leaders need…no, must hear that from you.

Yes, you can remain silent and just keep doing what you’re doing, receiving the financial and volunteer support of your local churches, but the Lord knows you’re playing it safe and so is the church and safety will never return us to the culture changing force we, the church, once were.

So you have a decision to make. You can dismiss this letter and turn your nose up at the strategy ( https://promomprobaby.org/our-strategy/ )God has always used to change cultures or you can choose to courageously speak with your local church leaders about why we’re falling short. It’s up to you.

Praying you choose the latter,

The efficacy of the church today and specifically the cause is still completely dependent on our ability to intentionally and effectively offer people what Jesus offered them when he announced his kingdom come.

It was the offer of citizenship in a new kingdom where you could experience a new life of love, forgiveness, restoration, significance...a place where our core, God designed longings would finally be realized.

Where you see God's kingdom advancing is where you will find the church humbly doing all the above among the lost, pursuing, inviting and gathering them into smaller communities where they can personally witness and experience it. That has been and always will be the full gospel.

Stop believing the lie that free ultrasounds, blankets, buggies, bottles and brochures listing numerous other helpful nonprofits, ever has or ever will significantly change the minds of moms tempted by abortion.

Stop believing the lie that our decades long, pro-life clinic and legislative approach is all God expects from His people for these moms stuck in cyclical patterns of destruction. He wants intentional, effective pursuit from us. Luke 15

He wants the gospel for all involved, a new life in a new kingdom and only the church playing its crucial role alongside our clinics and nonprofits can usher that in.

Join us. If you’re a clinic, related nonprofit or a church that is already or wants to complete the circle of care God wants from us, sign our pledge by registering. Let moms everywhere know they can turn to you in their critical hour.

If God's people would do a better job of putting ourselves in the shoes of moms living at or below the poverty line, who make up over 500,000 abortions every year, we would realize our current approach will never change a significant number of minds.

This is a gospel issue. We can't just offer free ultrasounds, bottles, blankets and brochures listing helpful nonprofits. God made them for a new life in a new kingdom. If we can't intentionally and effectively connect them to a community where they can personally experience this new kingdom, namely a small group of people who will love and lead them into that life, we will never see His kingdom come on abortion.

Why has the church been so anemic on changing the culture on abortion?

If you're a church that funds a Pregnancy Resource Center yet stops short in working with them to offer moms the full gospel, you're throwing your money away and perpetuating a version of the gospel that stops far short of the world changing message and method Jesus called you to.

The abortion industry is a billion dollar a year industry (765 clinics, government grants, private donations, abortion service fees, etc). PRC's are also a billion dollar a year industry (2,600 clinics, salaries, operational costs, equipment, etc) The problem is the abortion industry is far more successful in their mission than we are. Even after the overturning of Roe, they still manage to abort 700,000 reported to likely 1,000,000 lives annually including unreported and abortion pill induced.

Why? They offer moms a quick solution to what they view as a long term problem. We only offer them nine months of ultrasounds, bottles, buggies, blankets and brochures listing helpful nonprofits. Is that the gospel response Jesus wants from us?

If you work this problem backwards you'll discover it finds its roots in how we've implemented an unbiblical form and function of what the church was intended to be. The church is no longer a place for sinners to find a community of repentant, humble, grace and truth filled followers of Jesus. You can only find and witness that in communities of people who practice that openly, regularly with one another. The prevailing, preeminent Sunday morning service model simply can't provide that for us nor those longing for a new life in a new kingdom.

Why do we have this model? Long ago, some arrogant men worked their way into our fellowships pridefully accepting roles offered them by misinformed church leaders as the Lead or Senior Pastor, who were never meant to hold that role. Jesus never wanted a hierarchical head for a local body. So now we have men with the predominant gift/role of Teaching who also claim to have the gift/role of Pastor by the way, (True Pastors would never accept the title of Lead or Senior anything in a local body) who make sure their flock understands just how important it is for us to hear their message in person every Sunday. Where is the roundtable of leadership (Eph. 4) that also includes Pastors, Evangelists, Prophets and Apostles? You can kill off some of those roles as some denominations have but when you do, this is what we get. What do we get?

We get people who can no longer personally experience the kind of trinitarian love, forgiveness, encouragement, acceptance and restoration Jesus invited us into in John 17. Where are the fellowships that used to meet regularly in peoples' homes, sharing a meal, sharing their struggles, confessing, praying, laying on hands...fellowships we immersed ourselves in for a lifetime? They are now the exception and not the rule.

Want to know where the church is growing in the world? Places under persecution where they can't meet in public in big buildings. Places where the saints put themselves in a place where they can be fully known and yet still completely loved and accepted, places where the adults are discipled and are discipling each other and are taking responsibility to do the same with their kids.

Ignore this truth, this reality, but you do so at your own and your family's peril. We will be judged for this version one day. We all have access to God's word and we will be asked one day why we accepted this version of the church. Did we do it because it demanded less of us, because it was less "vulnerable" because it helped us hide our wealth, our comfort, our security our failing marriages and troubled kids? Again, where are the prophets?

I wonder why the Pro-Life movement believes we know more about what appeals to people than Jesus. Why do we think that offers of bottles, blankets, buggies, free ultrasounds and brochures listing numerous nonprofits would change the mind of an abortion tempted mom? What Jesus offered was a message and method that connected them to the life they longed for. It changed hearts. It changed minds.

If you're supporting a clinic that can't connect moms with a local, long-term body of believers in an effective way, as good as their intentions might be, you're enabling a strategy that falls short of the gospel Jesus proclaimed.

You may say, "It's better than nothing." Is it? Jesus could've said, "a law driven, works-based, pharisaical, religiosity that appears holy on the outside but is a rotting co**se on the inside is better than nothing" but He didn't. Instead, He modeled a sacrificial, laying down of self, void of comfort and security, that proclaimed a message and method that led the world to a new life in a new kingdom...the church.

What's the church? It's far from what we're able to experience on Sunday mornings. It's a community where we can regularly confess our shortcomings and yet receive grace, truth, love, acceptance, encouragement and accountability. It restores. Stop short of this if you will but you do so at your own peril. You, your family and a lost world cries out for it.

Watch our strategy video. This is what Jesus would do to change the culture on abortion and for that matter, divorce, greed, loneliness, poverty, anxiety, etc. We can help you start this kind of community. Don't delay. Reach out to us at [email protected].

This is the kind of stuff we're talking about!! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18bmQ4m11Q/

“I was feeling frustrated. I’d been volunteering at a food pantry. We weren’t even allowed to ask people questions. It felt like we were meeting people’s physical needs, but not their relational needs. It was just: give them a box of food and say ‘bye.’ I said a prayer about the situation, and later that evening I met my friend Abby for sandwiches at the park. She said: ‘I’ve been thinking. Our church says we’re pro-life, but what are we doing to help these moms?’ I took that as the answer to my prayer. We decided to start a New Mom Community Night, because isolation is one of the things that new mothers struggle with most. We held it in our church’s outreach center. That first night nobody showed up, but by then I was convinced that God wanted me to do this. We handed out flyers. We joined Facebook groups for local moms, and whenever someone posted: ‘I don’t have a lot of friends,’ we’d send them a message. We organized a maternity clothing swap, and that’s where we met Aubrey. She’d come out of an abusive situation. She had two little toddlers, and not long after she joined our group, she gave birth to her third. We coordinated around-the-clock care for her toddlers while she was in the hospital. She later told me that she’d never experienced that sort of unconditional love. And that’s exactly what we wanted. To create a place where people could feel known and loved. Consistency was key; it’s the only way to build deep relationships. The group met weekly. We always sat around one big table. We’d bring in outside experts to give lectures, but it was when the expert left that things got real. There were tears almost every week. It wasn’t uncommon for people to still be talking in the parking lot late into the night. We’d been meeting for about eighteen months when I had my miscarriage. The group was strong by then—eight or ten moms. And I remember how much I was looking forward to the next meeting, because I knew that people were going to, like-- love me. Aubrey brought this little card, and little devotional notebook, and a little necklace to remember my baby. It was such a comfort. I remember thinking: ‘Wow. I’m not sure what I would do without this group.'”

We had a back-and-forth yesterday with a pro life clinic, director, and leader in the pro-life movement in Mississippi.

There is a popular sentiment among these leaders that has deceived them for decades. They believe sharing the message of the gospel, specifically the path to salvation, is the gospel. What they fail to understand and what undermines all that they’re trying to achieve is, the gospel in full, was and is also the declaration of a kingdom come where you could experience, grace, truth, forgiveness, unconditional, love, mercy, justice, purpose, a place where you could have your sense of belonging restored. That is the full gospel and it can only be experienced within a gathering of the church.

That misunderstanding is the great tragedy in the church’s response to abortion. We, (church and pro-life leaders) continue to fail to recognize the influential power of a legitimate offer of the complete gospel message to a mom tempted by abortion, who is stuck in cyclical patterns of destruction. We fail to recognize it because in a culturally driven emphasis on the Sunday morning service, we fail to experience personally the beauty of the kind of fellowships Jesus had in mind for us.

Therefore:
To you pastors, those who have accepted the unbiblical title of senior pastor / teacher/ strategist…whatever, who have failed to work with clinics to create effective bridges that connect these moms to your people, who have not publicly proclaimed this message to moms far and wide, who do you think God will judge?
To you clinic directors, who have continued to promote the lie to your donors, to the body of Christ, that what you are doing for moms is effective, that offering free ultrasounds, blankets, bottles and brochures to helpful nonprofits, that it changes their minds in any significant way and then continue to pat yourselves on the back… who do you think God will judge?

To all of us in America, who claim to be Christ followers yet will not take his yolk upon us, who will not pick up our crosses, but instead continue to cling to our comfort and security, who use our blessings to bless ourselves, who isolate ourselves from a lost world, who never engage it in any meaningful way, but instead rely on political influence and law, who do you think God will judge?

Brothers and sisters, when Jesus says it is difficult for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven we as a people who have a roof over our heads, heat and A/C, own cars, readily available food, free education, take vacations, etc, etc, must certainly consider ourselves to be in that number. “So then, be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.” Eph. 5:15,16

Transforming Pro-Life: Church & PRC Partnership

Dear PRC Friend,

After 30+ years in ministry, I believe the key to truly impacting abortion rates is offering moms the full gospel. It’s an offer that connects them to a long-term community where they can experience God's Kingdom of grace, love, and transformation.
Current pro-life efforts often miss this vital piece. Women aren’t influenced by offers of short-term support; they need a pathway to a new life.

We've developed an effective strategy where PRCs and churches can partner more effectively.

• Watch these two videos (It actually works!) https://promomprobaby.org/our-strategy/

• Register your PRC https://promomprobaby.org/register/

• Access the free Guidebook https://promomprobaby.org/resources/topic/the-completing-the-pro-abundant-life-circle-of-care-guide-2/

• Share this invitation with churches.

Let's work together to change the culture once and for all.

Until His Kingdom comes,
Greg Clemens

An open letter to Pro-Life minded churches:

Dear Pro-Life minded Church,

My name is Greg Clemens. I’ve spent over 30 years in ministry, much of it in leadership with the world’s largest mission organization. About eight years ago, I felt an undeniable call to engage in the pro-life movement. The first couple of years, I simply listened and learned, asking a critical question:

Why hasn’t the church, historically known for transforming cultures, been able to change it on abortion?

Last year, even after the Dobbs decision, we saw the largest increase in abortions in the past decade. What are we missing?

We need to understand women choose abortion for many reasons—fear, shame, poverty, pressure, etc. If we can’t address those issues head on in a tangible way, we have no hope of changing anyone’s mind.

THE MISSING PIECE IN THE PRO-LIFE STRATEGY

Jesus spoke of and modeled for us the only way to do this. We must make them a legitimate offer of a new life in a new kingdom: the gospel. Not just the message we often preach, but the full reality of what His new kingdom would be. It was to be a kingdom where we’d experience grace, truth, purpose, justice, mercy, compassion, forgiveness, and unconditional love—the very things every human heart longs for.

God designed the local church, your church, to be the place where people experience that Kingdom, and yet, this is where we often fall short. Our reputation is and our practices prove we can’t or won’t intentionally and effectively connect these moms to the one entity God created to usher in the abundant life. Until this changes we can’t expect to change the culture on abortion.

WHAT WOMEN NEED: MORE THAN A NINE MONTH COMMITMENT.

The numbers prove that most abortion-vulnerable women never step inside our Pro-Life Clinics (PRCs). Why? They see free ultrasounds, baby supplies, and nonprofit resources—but not a pathway to a transformed life in a new Kingdom.

If we want to change the minds of moms, we must change our message and pursuit.

A CHURCH THAT PURSUES LIKE JESUS

Changing the culture on abortion will require more than financial partnerships and an open invitation to attend a Sunday morning service. What these moms need is a church that pursues them—relentlessly, just as Jesus described in Luke 15 with the parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son. He told those three parables back-to-back-to-back to make one thing abundantly clear: God is a God who pursues, and we must do the same.

WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW

We’ve developed a proven strategy to help bridge this gap. Would you

 watch this short video explaining how PRCs and churches can work together to offer these women a legitimate, lifelong invitation into God’s Kingdom? https://promomprobaby.org/our-strategy/
 If that resonates with you, would you then reach out to your local PRC, show them the video and ask them to partner with you in this way?
 Then, Register Your Church on Our Map https://promomprobaby.org/register/ and
Access the free "Completing the Circle of Care" Guide for small groups. https://promomprobaby.org/resources/topic/the-completing-the-pro-abundant-life-circle-of-care-guide-2/ This guide will help you and your people form the kind of communities that transforms moms’ lives.

Your church may be our last hope for changing the culture on abortion. Let’s not stop short of what God wants from us for these moms stuck in cyclical patterns of destruction. We pray you’ll join us in this mission.

Until His Kingdom comes in full,

Greg
