WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A KITTEN IS RESCUED?
You see the picture of the tiny kitten who was saved.
You see the happy adoption photo when they finally find their forever family.
But what happens in between?
Rescue. Rehab. Repeat.
The moment that kitten comes into rescue, the work begins.
A veterinary visit for a complete exam, treatment plan, and medications.
Follow-up appointments to make sure they’re improving — sometimes meaning new medications, refills, or completely changing the treatment plan.
Deworming begins. Vaccinations begin. Treatments for coccidia, parasites, infections, and whatever else that little body is fighting begin.
🐾 Hand feedings.
🐾 Fluids.
🐾 Quarantine.
🐾 Cleaning.
🐾 Monitoring.
🐾 Comfort.
🐾 And hours upon hours of specialized care.
There are nights spent getting up to check on a fragile kitten.
There are feedings when everyone else is sleeping.
There are moments when rescuers aren’t sure if that tiny baby will make it.
And there are sacrifices that most people never see.
Family time is missed.
Events with family and friends are missed.
Plans are cancelled.
Because when a life depends on you, you show up.
And then there is the financial side.
Every dollar is stretched as far as it can possibly go — toward veterinary care, medications, supplies, food, formula, litter, cages, incubators, and everything else these babies need.
Donations don’t just disappear.
They become second chances.
And when that beautiful baby finally heals, grows stronger, and finds their forever family…
An exhausted rescuer takes a breath.
Smiles.
Wipes away a tear.
And then does it all over again.
Because there is always another kitten.
Another scared, sick, unwanted animal who needs someone to say:
“I won’t give up on you.”
This is rescue.
It isn’t just the happy adoption photo.
It’s the sleepless nights, the vet bills, the worry, the cleaning, the feeding, the medications, the tears, the sacrifices — and ultimately, the incredible joy of watching a life that almost didn’t make it finally have a future.
If you’d like to be part of that journey, a donation of any size truly helps.
Maybe it’s a bag of food.
Maybe it’s medication.
Maybe it’s a vet bill.
Maybe it’s simply $5 toward the next little life who needs us.
Every dollar helps us say YES to the next one.
Thank you for helping us continue to rescue, rehabilitate, and give these babies the futures they deserve.
