📱 What do you think of and so far? Our take: small innovations can make a big difference for families. Cobb Schools' new gives parents the ability to track their child's bus in real time, receive updates about delays and know exactly when students are picked up and dropped off. It's one more way our community is helping families feel safer, more connected and supported.

🦉 Whooo's down for a fun breakfast this weekend? School may be back in session, but weekends are still made for pancakes. Research shows that students who regularly eat breakfast are more likely to and perform well in school. That's one reason stable housing matters so much - when families have a safe place to live, routines like sharing breakfast before school become a little more possible.

Last year, Cobb County's housing providers worked together to provide 929 year-round beds. That's 929 lives touched. But it's also a reminder of the gap we're still working to close. With more than 2,600 unhoused students in Cobb County alone, even our community's combined emergency shelters, transitional housing and supportive housing cannot meet the need.

That's why Bridge Communities exists - not to replace our partners, but to expand what's possible here in Cobb. By building cottage communities on faith-based land, we're creating the "next step" families need between crisis and permanent housing.

Metro Atlanta's economic mobility challenges require more than one solution. It's going to require organizations like ours working together to ensure families have stable housing, strong support systems and opportunities to thrive.

Imagine: 2,600 backpacks; 2,600 favorite stuffed animals; 2,600 dreams of becoming teachers, nurses, engineers, artists and entrepreneurs.

And for too many of those children in Cobb County, "home" isn't a place they can count on.

At Bridge Communities, we believe every child deserves more than a roof over their head. They deserve the stability to focus in class, sleep through the night, invite a friend over, celebrate birthdays, and simply be a kid.

They deserve room to breathe.

Because room to breathe means waking up in the same bed tomorrow. Homework at the kitchen table instead of the backseat of a car. Peace replacing uncertainty. Hope replacing survival. That's what stable housing creates.
