Foster care is more than a system. It’s children. It’s families. It’s real life. ❤️

Behind every statistic is a child who deserves safety, stability, love, and the opportunity to simply be a kid.

Children enter foster care through no choice of their own. Some arrive at a new home with only a few belongings. Others face multiple placements, uncertainty, and changes most children should never have to navigate.

But statistics don’t have to determine a child’s future.

A caring adult can make a difference.
A supportive community can make a difference.
Advocacy can make a difference.

You don’t have to foster to support children in foster care. You can volunteer, donate, advocate, mentor, support foster and kinship families, or simply help others understand what these children experience.

Behind every number is a name.
Behind every case is a story.
Behind every story is a child worthy of being seen.

Every day, children in foster and kinship care are counting on us for stability, dignity, and hope—but right now, our ability to serve them is at risk.

Two essential needs keep our mission running:

❤️ A storage facility to safely organize and prepare donations
❤️ A virtual office to coordinate families, volunteers, referrals, and daily operations

Without these, The Wrapped in Love Project cannot continue serving foster, kinship, adoptive, and reunifying families in our community.

Hello, I’m Kati Tait, Founder and Executive Director of The Wrapped in Love Project. Thank you for taking the time to learn about our mission.

The Wrapped in Love Project was founded on a simple belief: every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and cared for—especially during life’s most difficult transitions. We exist to support foster, kinship, adoptive, and reunifying families by providing essential items with dignity, compassion, and love.

As both a foster and adoptive parent, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges families face when welcoming children into their homes. Those experiences inspired me to create an organization that not only meets immediate needs but also reminds every child and caregiver that they are not alone.

Our vision extends beyond providing clothing and essentials. We are building a community where families are supported, children are embraced, and hope is restored one act of kindness at a time.

Because of your generosity, over 100 children entering foster care will have something of their own to carry their belongings instead of a trash bag. It may seem like a simple duffle bag, but to a child experiencing one of the hardest days of their life, it represents dignity, hope, and the reminder that they matter.

Foster Care Awareness Month may be ending, but the realities of foster care continue every single day.

Children will still enter care. Families will still face impossible decisions. Biological parents will still fight to reunify. Foster, kinship, and adoptive families will still open their homes and hearts.

Awareness is important, but awareness alone doesn’t change outcomes.

Advocacy doesn’t end when May does.

Whether you choose to volunteer, donate, mentor, provide respite, support a family, or simply learn more about the child welfare system, you can make a difference.
