Room To Move Dance was founded in 1981 by artistic director/choreographer Amy Gately as a contemporary modern dance company.

Room To Move Dance fosters a fresh appreciation of the arts for an expanding audience. The blending of dance, music, visual art, poetry and sculpture inspires innovative approaches for artists and audiences alike.

THIS weekend AND Next weekend! Attend the entire 4-day workshop, just 1 weekend, or drop in for just a day of fun & exploration - completely free!

Room To Move Dance is seeking choreographers and dancers to participate in “Insights & Ingredients”, a FREE, 4-day choreographers’ workshop which is an exploration of the elements to create a solo for participants. This workshop is a study of how to create a solo work. Our elements for solo work creation includes performance art, spoken word, mood and emotions. Each participant will choreograph on other dancers to communicate different environments and settings.
An open, informal showing will be held Sunday, 6/8 at 4 PM. No charge to audience members but donations are appreciated.

• Saturday, May 31st, 2:30 – 6 PM
• Sunday, June 1st, 2:30 – 6 PM
• Saturday, June 7th, 2:30 – 6 PM
• Sunday, June 8th, 2:30 – 6 PM (includes informal showing at 5 PM)

Throwback to earliest this year when RTMD had the privilege of teaching a masterclass to the wonderful dance & theater students of // .dance

Their hearts were so open and receptive to new styles, techniques, and philosophies of movement, it was soul nourishing to all of us who were there. An absolute pleasure to be around such radiant energy! 🌻🌞✨
