From our nonprofits and schools to local businesses, agencies, churches, volunteers, and community leaders — thank you for the time, energy, and heart you give to serving others.

We are stronger when we work together. Today, we celebrate YOU and all those whose hard work makes our community a better place.

A great Saturday started with RiverLife , and later this afternoon, we were honored to speak at the Yeager Road Community Resource Center event about su***de prevention. 💚

A big shoutout to our community partner, Abby Kimbell from Pathways Center Mental Health, and to our board members who joined the conversation — Ruth K Sc from the Coweta County School System and Terisa Liang Buchanan representing Coweta Family Connection.
Thank you BYRD House as a moderator to lead a conversation.It was such an engaging and interactive discussion.

A few important reminders from today:

1. Look for warning signs ‼️ and ask for help immediately when something does not seem right.
2. Help children and youth build healthy coping skills, and continue to be a supportive presence.
3. Talk with your child, ask questions, and most importantly, be ready to truly listen.

Together, let’s continue building a protective, safe, and supportive environment for our children, families, and community. 💚

I had the honor of helping RiverLife this morning as they prepared to send teams of volunteers out into our community to serve others.

Just look at all of these incredible volunteers and nonprofits who showed up with one goal in mind — to help others! 🙌🏼

Thank you to everyone who is volunteering, every nonprofit who participated, and every person who is helping make today possible. Your willingness to serve makes a difference!

And a huge THANK YOU to RiverLife for bringing everyone together and making happen! What an amazing example of what can happen when a community comes together. 🫶🏼
