He had a talent and passion for all sports with a focus on basketball. He understood and acknowledged the importance of academics first to be successful in any life endeavor. By working hard in the classroom and on the court, he was able to gain national attention while inspiring everyone crossing his path. Dai-Jon played three years of basketball at Vanderbilt and one year at the University of In
dianapolis before he was taken from us far too soon in a tragic accident. His goal in life was to “change the world,” and we believe that starts with one person at a time. In his memory, the Dai-Jon ‘ALL DAI’ Parker Foundation is designed to encourage, support, and strengthen young athletes. Our vision is to promote academics before athletics throughout all levels of the academic/athletic process. We will do this by providing collegiate athletes with a child in their own community to mentor. These players will hold themselves accountable while using their experiences and skills to help guide at-risk children throughout their educational and athletic journeys. Our desire is to help keep collegiate athletes on track by taking on more responsibility within their communities. This will be implemented by assigning chosen athletes to younger students that they will help develop full potential in the classroom and on the court using their expertise. By bringing a diverse group of people together, we will improve our community while helping each child develop into their best selves. We are working to create well-rounded educated athletes with a desire to take the success they gain and give back to their communities.
