Soul Journers Studio

Soul Journers Studio Sandra Tate is an art therapist and LAPC Art therapy for the adults in the Clarkston, Northlake , Decatur and Stone Mountain communities.

A place where individuals and groups use art making to make meaning of the experiences of their lives, accessing emotional blocks, tapping into the Source of their personal strength, finding their voice. Soul Journers reaches out to people with diagnosis and people without diagnosis, refugees who need a place to process the fast paced changes and trauma, and other walking wounded. Using art making

instead of words, individuals and groups are helped to use paint, pencil, clay or collage to ask their deep questions, and answer them on their own terms. Art goes where words cannot. Sandra Tate is an art therapist and LAPC. Soul Journers Studio is a joint venture of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church and Shallowford Road Presbyterian Church to bring art therapy to the community.

The story continues

Soul Journer’s studio began in the Clarkston and Northlake area of Atlanta, Georgia as a joint project of The Shallowford Presbyterian church and the Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church and Sandra Tate, Art therapist. The studio closed in 2016 in that area but has reopened on the coast of Georgia. Exploration of personal questions, development of self awareness, and a chance to respond to life’s events are the goals of those who meet here. As always, response is through the use of art materials to let the process of making art as well as the content speak to each soul journer.
