This verse is a wake-up call to choose joy on purpose.

1. "This is the day that the Lord has made"
It reminds us that today isn’t an accident. God gave you this day. The good, the hard, and the in-between — He’s already there in it.

2. "let us rejoice and be glad in it"
It’s an invitation, not a command with pressure. We’re invited to notice the small blessings, to thank God, and to live fully instead of just getting through the day.

What it means for us
We can’t control everything that happens today. But we CAN control how we respond. This verse says: don’t waste today worrying about yesterday or stressing about tomorrow. God made this day, so find one reason to rejoice in it.

It’s perfect for mornings. Before the to-do list, before the stress — pause and say “Thank You, Lord, for today.”

Bottom line: Joy is a choice. And today is a gift. 🎁

All you can do is take one step at a time; one day at a time. You cannot live in the future, but you can plan as best you can for the days ahead. Hold your plans loosely so that when things do not work out as planned, you will not be devastated. Stay close to Me, says the Lord, and let Me lead and guide you, and you will not be disappointed or discouraged. Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.
