A big thank you to the interns from Brent Scarbrough & Company, Inc.
for spending time serving with us at Midwest Food Bank Georgia! 💙

In addition to volunteering, they brought generous donations of paper towels and toilet paper to support our Disaster Relief program. These essential items will help care for families and communities impacted by disasters.

We are still collecting donations of toilet paper and paper towels for this year’s disaster relief boxes.

You can drop off donations during normal business hours or have them shipped directly to us by simply ordering on Amazon.

They mark products that need volunteer help before they can be distributed. These Cheez-Its arrived in giant bulk boxes and need to be repackaged into family-sized bags.

Receiving food in bulk is often why we’re able to get it free of charge. That’s where our volunteer-driven model shines—transforming bulk donations into food that’s ready to reach families in need.

There’s nothing quite like peach season in Georgia! 🍑

As the season wraps up, we’re grateful for the opportunity to distribute fresh Georgia peaches to our agency partners, who will share them with families across our communities. Summer is always a little sweeter when it’s shared.

As Midwest Food Bank Georgia celebrates 15 years of serving our community, we're inviting YOU to be part of our next chapter.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to help retire the remaining $360,000 debt on our warehouse so we can direct even more resources toward feeding families and responding to disasters.

A big thank you to the McIntosh High School Cheerleaders for volunteering with us at Midwest Food Bank!

As part of their commitment to giving back, team members complete volunteer hours throughout the year. We are so grateful for schools and athletic programs that encourage students to serve their communities and make a difference beyond the sidelines.

During their visit, the team participated in a processing project, helping prepare donated products so they can be distributed to people in need. Every item they processed helps us share hope with families facing hunger and hardship.

Did you know Midwest Food Bank Georgia has an industrial freezer capable of storing up to 8 truckloads of frozen products? That means we can rescue and distribute a wide variety of frozen foods to our nonprofit partners—including everyone’s favorite summer treat, ice cream!

While we focus on providing nutritious food and essential resources, we know that a scoop of ice cream can bring a little extra joy to a family’s day.

Here’s to keeping food out of landfills, getting it into the hands of those who need it, and occasionally sharing a sweet treat along the way!
