My name is Joven Hamlet, and I am a young entrepreneur and photographer with a passion for
capturing people’s biggest moments. I have been doing photography for about 3–4 years, and
through my work I found my calling in lifestyle photography, including prom, graduation, birthday,
and anniversary shoots. I love being able to highlight people’s outfits, confidence, personalities,
and special memories through my camera. As a teen photographer, I enjoy turning important
moments into lasting memories while continuing to grow my business and creativity every day.

My name is Micahla Finley, and ever since I was 6 years old, I’ve loved cooking. It started with me helping in the kitchen and wanting to learn how to make different foods. Over time, cooking became my favorite thing to do. I love how food can bring people together and make them happy. Seeing people smile after eating something I made always makes me feel proud and happy too.

As I got older, I became interested in learning more about Whole Foods and healthier ingredients. I started researching where foods come from, what ingredients are good for your body, and how fresh foods can make a difference in people’s health. Learning about healthy eating made me love cooking even more because I realized food is not just about eating — it’s also about caring for yourself and others.

Cooking is something that helps me relax, be creative, and express myself. Whether I’m trying a new recipe or making meals for people I love, it always makes me feel good. My passion for cooking has grown with me over the years, and I hope to continue learning more about food and maybe even turn my love for cooking into a future career someday.

Pine Bluff, AR native Jamya Wells is a junior at Pine Bluff High School. She has competed in the Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technology and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) Program, winning gold in Visual Arts two years in a row. She enjoys sketching, drawing, and painting using oil-based paints, pastels, and charcoal. She paints on various surfaces, including canvas, wood, paper, and even her pants. Her classmates compliment her original pants designs, which she wears to school. After high school, she plans to attend college, specifically the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), where she was offered a scholarship by Department Chair Dr. Karen DeJarnette. One of her mentors also encouraged her to attend UAPB. She plans to pursue art full-time at UAPB.

What started out as playing around baking with my mom has now turned into a dream of satisfying the sweet tooth of others.
