The mission of Joining Hearts is to raise awareness and funds to support prevention, care, and housing assistance to those impacted by HIV/AIDS in Atlanta.

❤️ Today is Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.

For nearly four decades, Joining Hearts has believed in the power of community to make a difference.

Today, we join organizations and advocates across the South in raising awareness about HIV, supporting those living with HIV/AIDS, fighting stigma and continuing the work toward greater access to prevention, testing, treatment and care.

Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is also a reminder of why we do what we do.

Every event we host, every ticket purchased, every volunteer who gives their time and every person who supports Joining Hearts helps us continue raising funds for organizations serving people living with HIV/AIDS in our community.

There is still work to do.

There are still conversations to have.

And there are still lives we can impact when we come together. ❤️

Awareness matters. Education matters. Community matters. And ending the stigma matters.

❤️ This Sunday, we’re proud to support our friends at For The Kid In All Of Us as they host their annual Backpack in the Park – Flower Power: Peace. Love. Backpacks. 🌼🎒

Since 2003, For The Kid In All Of Us has been making a lasting impact on children across Metro Atlanta by providing backpacks filled with school supplies, toys, and other essential resources to families in need. Through the generosity of our community, they’ve distributed more than 77,000 backpacks and 88,000 toys, helping thousands of children start each school year with the tools they need to succeed.

We truly believe that when a community comes together with generosity, compassion, and a shared purpose, amazing things can happen. ❤️ That’s exactly what organizations like For The Kid In All Of Us—and supporters like you—continue to prove every day.

Join them this Sunday, August 2, from 12–4 PM at Park Tavern for an afternoon of food, drinks, entertainment, an auction, and, most importantly, giving back to Atlanta’s children.

And when the Backpack Party wraps up, keep the celebration going at the official after-party at Blake’s On The Park from 4–8 PM! A special thank you to Blake’s On The Park for continually supporting our community and for being such an incredible partner to so many local nonprofit organizations—including hosting our Joining Hearts Tea Dance last weekend. Your generosity and commitment to giving back never go unnoticed. ❤️❤️❤️
