Thank You Thursday: Part Two!

Our gratitude continues for LaserCraft Technologies' incredible support for GMFB’s mission. We simply couldn’t fit everything into one post!

The team at LaserCraft is making a tremendous difference in our community, and continues to show up for our neighbors. We love Rodney’s bowl display in the lobby at LaserCraft, where every bowl represents hope for our neighbors. 💚

Thank you for standing with us in the fight against hunger and for helping make our community a little stronger, one bowl at a time.

Join LaserCraft and GMFB as we stand together as a community united against hunger!

Thank You Thursday, Part One!

A huge shout-out to LaserCraft Technologies for their ongoing support of GMFB’s mission since 2013! Partners like Rodney Greene, owner of LaserCraft, and his team truly represent a community united against hunger.

LaserCraft has been an ongoing title sponsor of our Empty Bowl Luncheon for over nine years and sponsored our Greens for Good Golf Tournament. We had the opportunity to interview Rodney and ask him, “What is your why,” and we’re excited to share why he is so committed to fighting hunger.

Look for Part Two of our “Thank You Thursday” posts to see Rodney’s collection of bowls from our Empty Bowl Luncheons! Each bowl represents thousands of meals provided to our local community. Rodney proudly displays them in the LaserCraft lobby, continuing to raise awareness and to advocate for hunger relief.

Thank you, Rodney and the entire LaserCraft team, for being an amazing partner and such a wonderful example of a community united against hunger!

Do you know the food insecurity rate in your county?

Food insecurity is affecting more of our neighbors across North Georgia, and the numbers tell an important story.

At Georgia Mountain Food Bank, we’re committed to fighting hunger in Hall, Forsyth, Dawson, Lumpkin, and Union Counties. These numbers represent more than percentages. They represent families, children, seniors, and friends who may be struggling to put enough food on the table.

As we wrap up Hunger Action Month, we are deeply grateful to Hall County Government for recognizing September as Hunger Action Month and September 29, 2026, as Hunger Action Day.

This special proclamation was officially declared and presented during our Empty Bowl Luncheon, making the occasion even more meaningful as we gathered with community leaders, supporters, and advocates committed to ending hunger in our community.

We are incredibly thankful to our Hall County Commissioners for their continued support of our mission and for helping shine a light on the importance of food security in Hall County. Their recognition helps bring greater awareness to the challenges our neighbors face and the vital work being done to ensure everyone has access to nutritious food.

Hunger Action Month may be coming to an end, but the fight against hunger continues year-round. Together, through awareness, compassion, partnerships, and action, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of our neighbors.

Thank you, Hall County Government, for standing with us and for being part of the movement to build a stronger, healthier, and hunger-free community!
