MEET OUR 2017 HONOREES!!! FIRST INTRODUCTION!!!
One of the most important parts of ME1C2/LILFOC FOUNDATION, Inc., annual education gala is recognizing individuals and organizations that are impacting lives and making a difference through their extraordinary initiatives! One of our three Honorees this year is a young Liberian I've been following for the past two years, a man I have so much admiration for! I am delighted to introduce to you all, Mr. Octawie Tah Moore, our 2017 "Princess Yarmie Award" recipient!
About The Award: Princess Yarmie, a former rock crusher, is one of our outstanding students who never thought that her dream of becoming a medical doctor would be possible until we met her seven years ago. Her academic excellence have become a symbol of hope to many of her peers in the poor rock hill community. This award is given to individuals who are committed to giving hope to the hopeless.
Mr. Moore founded "NationOne Academy Foundation" to empower young Liberians through Education, Sport and Character Development. The academy was created in Liberia to discover and nurture future role models; by providing talented Africans with the opportunity to achieve their true potential and capability to claim a better future for their family, community and country. The academy program focuses on the development of student athletes through education, sport and character development. Mr. Moore's objective is to develop student athletes with good education and sound character.
Through his work, kids playing "street" soccer across the country have been given hope to not only enhance their skills, but get an education. Mr. Moore will receive this prestigious award at the official ceremony of ME1C2/LILFOC FOUNDATION, INC., 6th Annual Education Gala, June 17, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Congratulations Sir!!!
