Coweta FORCE is excited to host a one-day training: Primary Prevention for Community Professionals on May 14th from 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

This interactive training focuses on understanding addiction and building practical, evidence-based strategies to prevent substance misuse at both the individual and community levels.

✨ Details:
• Open to community professionals (providers, educators, law enforcement, and more)
• 5 CEUs available for eligible participants
• Lunch will be provided
• No cost to attend (funded by DBHDD OPS)

NARCAN ISNT JUST FOR DRUG ADDICTS!!

-It’s also for your best friend who unknowingly had their drink spiked.
-It’s also for your toddler that got into something at the park because kids are curious.
-It’s also for your 16 year old son or daughter out experimenting with their friends.
-It’s also your depressed wife or husband trying to unalive themselves with whatever is in the medicine cabinet.
-It’s also for grandma or grandpa that took one too many of their medication(s) because they couldn’t remember if they took some earlier or not.

The list can go on.

Not everyone that needs narcan is an addict, and even if they are so fu***ng what. The whole debate on whether or not it’s more important than insulin is stupid. Both can save lives, and both deserve to be free or at least AFFORDABLE to the people that need it.
