(E4S) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that facilitates opportunities for high-school students to make real-world connections between their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) coursework and the world around them through workshops, field trips, and job shadowing. E4S was founded to meet the needs of under-resourced high schools wanting to increase the impact of their STE

M education pathways. E4S provides high schools with supplemental resources for students to develop their interests in engineering. We facilitate workshops, field trips, and partnerships with collegiate and industry professionals to bridge the gap between students’ STEM coursework and pursuant career fields.

MISSION
The mission of Engineering for Success (E4S) is to nurture high school students budding interests in STEM through opportunities to discover real-world applications of science and engineering as well as serve as a catalyst for increasing the number of students pursuing STEM degrees.

VISION
Engineering for Success (E4S) envisions thriving communities anchored by local schools with successful STEM programs through which students pursuing degrees and careers in STEM disciplines is a commonplace.

INITIATIVES
All of the E4S initiatives are designed to support and promote students in pursuing post-secondary degrees and careers in STEM fields:
- Engineering Think Tank & Design Studio
- STEM Student Organization Aides
- STEM Professionals Spotlight
- Career Shadowing Match Program

E4S had the honor of being recognized as an Atlanta Public Schools CTAE Partner at their Partner Appreciation Breakfast last week! ❤️ The APS Office of CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education) focuses on building relationships with local partners to prepare students for the 21st century global workplace!

A few weeks ago E4S partnered with The Collaborative group to have Frederick Douglass High School students participate in the Atlanta BeltLine 's Westside Study Group and provide feedback and suggestions for the Master Plan Update! This opportunity allowed the students to better understand how they can be contributing voices to the changes happening in their own community! This will be the first of many real-world opportunities for the students as they begin to develop their own Master Plan for their neighborhood!

E4S had a blast giving Douglass High School (Atlanta) students a chance to tour Georgia Tech & have a Q&A Session with current Tech students last Friday! 🐝 One of the many highlights of the field trip was being able to visit the ECE department's newly minted Robotarium, which is the nation's first remote robotics lab! 🤖

Last week marked E4S's first official workshop session with our Douglass High School students! The session was spent introducing students to E4S's mission and goals for the year.

Aimee gave the inaugural 💡STEM Professional Spotlight💡 She spoke with the class about her path into engineering and facilitated a traffic engineering activity for the class! 📐🛠️
