Tonight RCC did one of their favorite things: play bingo with friends!

What a special night with our Rotary Community Corps as we inducted their new board of directors! 🎉 Congratulations to Levi Ramos, the newly installed President, and a heartfelt thank you to Aaron Johnson for his dedicated leadership this past year. We also welcomed another new member and celebrated the traditional passing of the gavel — always a powerful moment of service and unity.

Another great tradition was followed by the outgoing president of PTC Rotary Patti as she presented new president Levi with his Paul Harris Fellow pin!

Tonight, RCC had two speakers of two different topics!

First, Rotarian, Therapist, and Former Past President Adam Glendye, talked about Mental Health!

Did you know that having a conversation or give someone a hug for 6 seconds, wherever! 10 times a day!

Did you know that too much of a good thing can sometimes be bad thing.

During the meeting, RCC was challenged: to flip their phones over during Adam’s conversation. Everyone was a good sport!

RCC also learned some important keywords tonight:

Dopamine: something that helps release happiness. For example, eating your favorite food, or accomplishing goals!

Oxytocin: a hormone that helps plays a crucial role of mental health! Some examples are trust, recognition and bonding.

After wrapping up about mental health, RCC had another surprise, Rotarian Jessica Walker came to talk about one of RCC’s favorite local events: Dragonboat Racing.  Jessica, had shared is that boats for racing have been sponsored by two different local companies!

Finally, we wrapped up with birthdays, announcements, comments, and  nominees for RCC’s future Sgt of Arms: the greeter and name tag extraordinaire!
