Stand Up Men Organization

Stand Up Men Organization We strive to provide support, reward, development opportunities for success to I am a stand up man. I stand up for strength, courage, and respect.

The Stand Up Men Organization is comprised of professionals, groups, organizations and businesses that share a unified vision of community service, development and enrichment. I stand up for every great man that stood before me, and for all the great men who will stand after me. I stand up to protect the son's and daughter's who will follow my lead. I stand up for the women who recognize, cherish

and value my deeds. I stand up for a purpose, a passion, and a vision. I stand up for a cause greater than myself, and will never measure the value of a man by his possessions and wealth. I stand up in the face of adversity, even in the midst of controversy. I stand up for my brothers and sisters, even if I stand up alone. I stand up in the beginning and will be stand up in the end. I stand up for the men and women who take a stand, and for the children who do not yet understand. I stand up and take a stand to protect the name of great fathers and men. I will not just stand up once, but will stand up with intention again and again.

Great Father Roll Call! It is our mission to protect, elevate, celebrate, and recognize the importance and presence of all the Great Men and Fathers that often intentionally go over looked. For the past two years we have been celebrating Great Fathers and it pleases me that we by far are not the only ones!

When we forfeit our rights and responsibility to be parents, leaders, guiders, and statues in the lives of our children. We then forfeit our voice as a person of credibility and value. We can not throw away our value as a person through parenting, then expect for the world to value your words through voice. You have already shown us that the value of your presence is not worth having around, so why would we pay attention to your words. If you want a voice, stick around long enough for the people who need you can hear it!

Look at the bright side, it's never too late! Choose again!

The best way to change the perception about our people is to tell better stories about us. With that said I applaud this new blog the Happy Black Guy! If you know a Happy Black Guy reach out to them to see if you can get him featured.

Folks stay talking about The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Once a week, we take a different approach and highlight the fascinating array of happy black girls and guys (hbg’s) we know and love. Sometimes we feature those we admire from afar as well. It's our humble attempt at sharing the ...

Great Letter! Something for all my Mother's who have choosen absent Men and Men who have choosen not to be Father's.

"When a boy doesn't have a father to show him the way, he can never be quite sure about the manhood things he needs to know. He's never really clear about how strong is strong enough, how soft is too soft, or how much doing and giving is enough, from a man's point of view. A boy needs a man to teach him how to push forward and when to pull back. A man can demonstrate to a boy when to stand up—and for how long."-Iyanla Vanzant

I'm curious how all these "celebrities' and major mentoring organizations are gonna help our kids grow, when they are not willing to kneel down and dig in the dirt the kids are nurtured in.
