What’s behind an adolescent reader’s difficulty and how can educators respond?

Join Dr. Brennan Chandler and Dr. Elizabeth Stevens for Understanding and Supporting Adolescent Readers, a two-part webinar series exploring students’ diverse literacy needs and evidence-based instruction.

Using a levels-of-language lens, explore how challenges with words, sentences, and connected text—along with fluency and engagement—shape students’ ability to access, comprehend, and learn from what they read.

Learn how to use student data to identify sources of difficulty and prioritize instruction that strengthens:
• Word reading and fluency
• Vocabulary and understanding meaningful word parts
• Sentence structure and comprehension
• Knowledge building, motivation, and engagement

Across both sessions, explore ways to coordinate literacy support across ELA, content-area classrooms, and intervention settings.
