HOLY WEEK Schedule at Saint Rita Catholic Church:

Tuesday - There will be an 8:30am Communion service and NO MASS due to the priests attending the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral.

Maundy Thursday - During Mass at 7pm, the priests will wash the feet of select parishioners to emulate the action that Christ did for his Apostles before the Last Supper. Following Mass, there will be a procession as Father James takes Our Lord to a tabernacle in the family Life Center for Adoration.

Good Friday - Stations of the Cross at 10am & 3pm with Divine Mercy starting at 3:30pm. In the evening, there will be a Veneration of the Cross and a communion Service at 7pm.

Holy Saturday - There will be no scheduled confession time. By appointment only. Easter Vigil Mass starts outside the church at 7pm.

Easter Sunday - Mass at 7am, 9am, 11:30am, & 5pm (Spanish).

REMINDER: Easter Sunday is the busiest time of year. Please plan accordingly. Consider attending the Easter Vigil or the earlier Mass at 7am to miss some of the crowds. Also, The Walton County Sheriff's Department will be on campus and on Shannon Ln directing traffic. Please listen to the officers and where they tell you to go.

NO PARKING: Please adhere to "No Parking" signs. They are in those areas to keep traffic flowing both ways.

Saint Rita Catholic Church, established in 1983, is in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. We offer many opportunities to encounter Christ through worship, faith formation, fellowship, and stewardship.

The McKone Family - Knights of Columbus Council 17689, Saint Rita Catholic Church Family of the Month January 2026

Each month, the council Family of the Month Committee selects one parish family that models Christian family values and visibly lives them every day. Once a year, each participating council also selects one of the previous 12 Family of the Month winners to represent the Council and the Parish as the potential international Family of the Year. The Knights of Columbus Family of the Year is chosen by the Supreme Council and recognized each year at the annual Supreme Convention.

For January 2026 we are proud to announce the family of Rosa and Kevin McKone as our Family of the Month.
Rosa and Kevin reflect a very active and prayerful Catholic family. They are both integrated deeply into the Parish, serving in a litany of positions and committing many, many hours of leadership and time each and every month.

Rosa opens and runs the St. Rita book store after the Sunday Spanish Mass.
She also contributes her time to the very important 40-Days for Life Eucharistic Prayer Vigil.

Kevin maintains a very active Catholic schedule, leading or contributing regularly to the following essential Saint Rita Ministries:

• Serves as a Lector
• Eucharistic Minister
• MC at Mass (Altar leadership)
• Leads a Communion service at Barclay’s (senior living center).
• Membership Director for the Knights of Columbus Council 17689
• Regular contributor to KoC events such as Bingo, Coffee & Donuts, Fish Fry, Coats for Kids
• Member of GROW
• Participates in 40 Days for Life

Please help us recognize and thank the McKone family for all they do within our faith, parish and family life here at Saint Rita Catholic Church. They encourage and invite all members of the Parish family to join them in any of the Ministries they serve.
