We were thrilled to visit Huey Elementary School for their Mental Health workshop this past week💡

Our Director, Cedric Lovelace-Huddleston, delivered an insightful presentation on mental health, empowering parents to recognize key signs, providing them with valuable tools, and encouraging them to embrace vulnerability in sharing their own experiences.

We here at ITC believe that mental health is extremely important in our youth! At Innovative Summer 2025 we will engage in conversation that promotes healthy mindsets for our campers.

Meet our Performing Arts Instructor and Development Director, Kaylah Lovelace. Ms. Lovelace was professionally trained in multiple genres at the Parkview High School Dance Department for 4 years. Kaylah has taught in Atlanta, other local studios and schools. She has appeared in music videos, choreographed showcases, and served as a backup dancer. Kaylah is also a long time member of Kadosh Dance Ministry at GFBM. Ms.Lovelace is an ambitious playwriter.She studied Theater Appreciation at Georgia Gwinnett College in 2018 and is currently heading up GFBM’s youth drama squad, Talent Inc

Meet our Visual Arts Instructor, Ronald S. Irby II. Mr. Irby is currently working for his degree in Art Education at Georgia State University. He plans to become a high school visual arts teacher in the near future. Ronald is experienced and extremely gifted with both traditional and digital art as well as acrylic and watercolor painting. He is also the mastermind and creator of the ITC LIGHTBULB! Ronald enjoys reading and digital drawing on his iPad.

Meet our Culinary Arts Instructor and Head Meal Cook, Parris Irby. Ms. Irby studied the arts at Grayson Tech High School for 1 year. She then acquired her associates degree at Johnson and Wales University in Applied Science in baking and pastry arts in 2011. She served as a food aid and lead baker from 2011 to 2013. And has had 8 years of catering experience! Parris also has an amazingly versatile and nutritional breakfast and lunch menu drafted for us which she will be preparing herself all summer! Ms. Irby is an aspiring cafe owner and loves to bake for her loved ones!

Meet our Reading and English/Language Arts Instructor, Yasmeen Pitts. God graced Ms. Pitts to earn both her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and masters degree in Elementary Reading and Mathematics. She has been in the field for 12 years and has taught at multiple schools in Dekalb County for 6 years. Yasmeen loves to read and learn new things!

Meet our Executive Director and Mathematics/Lead Instructor, Cedric Huddleston. Mr. Huddleston earned his Bachelors in Educational Psychology in 2009. he has had the pleasure of working in education for over 10 years. He’s served as a teacher in public, private, and charter schools as well as a private tutor and academic coach across the Atlanta Metropolitan area. His hope as the ITC’s visionary, is to use education to more independent thought and develop personal character in today’s youth.
