Foundation was the brain child of Christopher Mattox. Inspiration struck him as he per chanced across a conversation between two United Way representatives.
“So let me get this right," interrupted Christopher, (not even a part of the conversation) "If a person saves $1,000.00 in their own bank account and they take a course on how to better their credit, then The United Way will match them 300% s
o they could then have a down payment on a house?”
“Something like that.” responded one of the reps. “But you see--”
“That’s soo cool!” said Christopher again interrupting. “How many people know about this?”
"Well, not many…That particular project came in under budget last year because people just don’t know it’s out there. Advertising takes a big chunk out of a budget.”
That night Christopher spoke with friends about the United Way situation. They realized that if the United Way was having problems, how many other non-profit organizations were just as stifled alerting people to the resources they had to offer simply because advertisement production costs were too high? After all, Faces Entertainment Group, ( the company owned by Christopher and Elizabeth Mattox) is an audio and video production and recording facility and they know how much they would charge to produce a commercial or a voice over radio spot. That night, the Get the Word out Foundation idea was born. is a solution to the problem of the cost of infomercials, commercials, voice over radio spots and other major forms of advertisement from stopping one group of people from helping another. is an Organization for Non-Profit Organizations. It will provide professional audio & video production and recording services, for little or sometimes no cost, for just about any non-religious or non-political non-profit groups and organizations that have positive information to put out. We are also an outlet for artistry of all kinds to be used to help promote the growth and assistance of such organizations, via fund raisers, independent films, music, art exhibits and any other forms of artistic expression. Events are just one of the many opportunities planned to bring everyone together and make as many people as possible aware of what is out there.
