We recently completed a community improvement project. We helped a homeowner reattach gutters, repair a front porch rail and trimmed bushes.

Memories:
A Greater Blesing project. Heather, a policeman’s widow with 3 small, children, needed our help. She had a serious drainage problem at the back of her berm home and her kitchen, well it actually needed to be upgraded! She also needed some kind of storage.
The pictures tell the story. The drainage was resolved by digging a trench and adding gutters. Her kitchen was redesigned for convenience and she got plenty of storage.
It was such a pleasure working with Heather and her family. Heather has paid her Blessing forward, thank you Heather.

To date the LanierFCH has completed 60 Greater Blessing projects, 4 Community Improvement projects and 5 Church Relation projects as well as several Legacy build projects in other states, (Millard Fuller passed away in 2009. The Legacy projects are in his honor. Many covenant partner group representatives from the USA and Internationally come together for a week each year to build house).
Our biggest project now is the Velvie Project. We are renovating Ben’s house so he and his family will have a safe place to live. Please check this site out, we need to raise more money to move forward so we can finish this project by the end of the year.

We built several handicap ramps this year:
Our first ramp was a cement ramp from Marie’s porch door. Javier and Jerry constructed this ramp.
Teresa also has a new ramp, thanks to Chuck, Jerry, Annette and Joe.
Our third ramp this year was built in partnership with volunteers from North Lanier Baptist Church, thanks Gary and James for helping to construct this ramp for Billy.

Our Greater Blessing and Church Relations Projects

(The majority of these partners have re-donated the full amount of their material costs. This is their way of paying their blessing forward and allows us to help another homeowner in need.)

We are so proud of the work we do in our community!! Here are some pictures of our most recent project.
We removed carpet and installed a floating floor for one of our partners that has severe allergies. We also completed some outside repairs on this house.
