This afternoon Love Gives Ministries teamed up with Grace Church to provide an Easter Egg Hunt for the children who live at Marnelle. We had the Easter Story told, we hunted candy filled eggs and had pizza and Dunkin’ Donuts for refreshments! A great time was had by all!!!

Love Gives Ministries would like to give a great big
THANK YOU to the State Bar of Georgia for their
generous donation. Each year in February they select a ministry to contribute to and once again Love Gives Ministries was chosen! So many wonderful items were donated from food to items for kids. We appreciate all the time and work that went into this campaign to make it such a success !

IT IS SO EXCITING TO SEE HOW LGM HAS GROWN IN THE PAST TWO MONTHS. THE LGM TEAM HAS SERVED 573 GUESTS IN ATLANTA AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES IN JUST THAT TIME ALONE!!!

THRU THE SERVICES OF THE FOOD DONATION CONNECTION (A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT LINKS RESTAURANTS WITH SURPLUS FOOD TO MINISTRIES IN NEED), LGM HAS RECEIVED A TOTAL OF 391 LBS. OF DONATED FOOD. THIS AMOUNT IS FROM ONLY 3 RESTAURANTS!

THE NEED FOR FREEZER SPACE BECAME A MAJOR CONCERN. WE POSTED OUR NEED ON FACEBOOK AND WITHIN 24 HRS. WE HAD OUR FIRST DONATED FREEZER DELIVERED AND 24 HR. LATER WE HAD A SECOND DONATED FREEZER DELIVERED. FRIENDS OF LGM ARE INCREDABLE AND WE APPRECIATE EACH ONE OF YOU.

DURING THE PAST TWO MONTHS, LGM HAS GOTTEN 2 MORE DEDICATED MONTHLY DONORS. WE THANK YOU! IT IS ONLY BY YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS THAT LGM IS ABLE TO KEEP GOING.

The story continues... in less than 24 hrs. Love Gives Ministries was given a FREEZER!!! That’s right, you read that correctly. We got a text this morning from a dear friend (I truly believe she is my Guardian Angel because she has helped me on so many levels before) asking if we would be home today at 4:00 because she arranged for delivery of a freezer. The second blessing was the appliance delivery guy also carried off a refrigerator we had that didn’t work and we would have had to pay someone to discard it. Then as if this wasn’t enough to make our day, we received a call from a well known BBQ restaurant in Atl. asking if we could go to their commissary tomorrow and pick up their surplus food from an event they had today. We said “sure because now we have freezer space”!!! We thank our dear friend for her generosity today and we thank all our friends, family and sponsors for their love and support.

Buns... Buns...Buns. This morning we got a call from a former co worker of Jim’s saying that she had “some” sandwich buns left over from an event and asked if Love Gives Ministries could use them. Heck yeah! We just put over 125 sandwich buns in our freezer. Our motto at Love Gives Ministries is “you got it, we’ll take it”!

This morning we had the pleasure of serving our Atlanta guests with help from my sister Kathy (yes we do look alike). We served lunch to a little over 100 guests with coffee and Moon Pies for dessert!!! If you would like to volunteer just message us or email at [email protected]. We look forward to it!

Some very kind people donated (and delivered!) a CVap Food Warmer, which allowed Love Gives Ministries to check off one of their needed items from their list!

Saturday’s fundraiser yard sale was a HUGE success! We met neighbors we didn’t know before, we met people who share the same passion as LGM, and best of all, we collected over $1,500! Thank you to all who donated items and thank you to all that came by.
