**🚧 A Historic Day for Doraville! 🚧**
Today, the City of Doraville proudly celebrated the groundbreaking of **The People's Building**, our new **City Center Project**—a major milestone in our continued investment in the future of our community.
This transformative project represents more than a new building. It represents our commitment to creating a welcoming civic space where residents can easily connect with local government, access public services, participate in community meetings, and engage with one another.
The new City Center will also feature an **expanded library**, providing more space for learning, technology, literacy, and community connection—all under one roof.
Mayor **Joseph Geierman** shared:

The People's Building will be a place where residents can connect with their local government, engage with their community, and take pride in a space that belongs to everyone."*
The ceremony included remarks from **Mayor Joseph Geierman**, **State Representative Long Tran**, **DeKalb County Chief of Intergovernmental Affairs Martha Revelo**, City officials, and project partners before the ceremonial turning of the soil.
As Doraville continues to grow and redevelop, **The People's Building** will stand as a lasting investment in transparency, innovation, and community—helping us fulfill our vision of **"Connecting Community, Creating Opportunity."**
