Let's talk about your first hour at camp.

Because I know some of y'all are imagining chaos.

Here's what actually happens:

You pull up.
You check in.
You find your spot.
You set up.
You meet a few people.
You take a deep breath.

And somewhere in there you realize — this is way easier than I thought.

Nobody expects you to know everything.
Nobody's grading your campsite.
You just show up.

For most first-timers, start with:

🏕️ Tent
🛏️ Air Mattress or Cot
🪑 Chair
🛋️ Folding Table
💡 Light or Fan

That's it. Everything else is extra.

This is:
✔ Organized campsites with real bathrooms and showers
✔ Staff actually helping you
✔ On-site security all weekend
✔ First-timer support so you're never lost
✔ A full weekend of programmed activities — you don't have to figure anything out

You bring yourself.
We handle everything else.

Somebody tried to explain Melanated Campout to someone who hasn't been and said: "it's like a camping trip."

Baby.

A camping trip doesn't have:
💛 DJs outside all night
💛 Watergun Battles with 1,000 people (cousins been talking about this since September 😭)
💛 Dinner in Orange
💛 Comedy shows under the stars
💛 Line dancing at 11pm
💛 Campfire conversations that go until 2am
💛 People who feel like family by Saturday

That's community.
