The Association of Dominican Classical Artists (ADCA) is proud to announce Season XVII (2026–27).

As we celebrate 47 years, we look forward to another season reflecting ADCA’s continued commitment to artistic excellence, cultural heritage, education, and community.

Guided by our commitment to, “Celebrating Our Heritage. Cultivating Tomorrow’s Artists,” Season XVII brings together artists, students, ensembles, and collaborators for a diverse series of performances throughout New York City.

We look forward to another year of honoring our musical traditions, fostering artistic growth, and connecting communities through music.

All concerts are free and open to the public.

From New York to Quisqueya 🇩🇴🎻

The Gregorio Luperón High School Chamber Orchestra is heading to the Dominican Republic for a week of music, collaboration, and cultural exchange from May 23–29, 2026.

Join us in supporting these young musicians present two special performances:

The Association of Dominican Classical Artists is proud to support this initiative alongside the Ministerio de Cultura de la República Dominicana, the Dirección General de Bellas Artes, the Dirección de Educación y Formación Artística Especializada (DEFAE), the Conservatorio Nacional de Música, Centro INDOTEL Cultura Digital, and the Washington Heights Community Conservatory of Fine Arts.

This trip represents more than performances, it’s a celebration of youth, culture, education, and the continued connection between New York City and the Dominican Republic through music.

Aquí les dejamos un poco mas de información sobre Tony Guzmán:

Arreglista, director y educador musical de la República Dominicana. Guzmán es actualmente director del programa de jazz y profesor de música en Luther College, en Decorah, Iowa. Ha escrito numerosos arreglos corales de música tradicional caribeña y latinoamericana; algunos de ellos han sido publicados por Oxford University Press y Boosey & Hawkes en su serie Latin Accents. Ha dirigido coros, bandas y orquestas en Norteamérica, Centro y Sudamérica, Europa, Asia y el Medio Oriente.

Guzmán posee un doctorado (Ph.D.), un certificado en Pedagogía de la Teoría Musical y una maestría de la Florida State University. Obtuvo su Licenciatura en Artes en Luther College y cuenta además con un título en Ingeniería Electromecánica de la Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, en Santiago, República Dominicana.

Here is some more information on Tony Guzmán:

Arranger, conductor, and music educator from the Dominican Republic. Guzmán is currently director of the jazz program and professor of music at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He has written many choral arrangements of Caribbean and Latin American traditional music; some of them published by Oxford University Press and Boosey & Hawkes in their Latin Accents series. He has conducted choirs, bands, and orchestras in North America, Central and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Guzmán holds a Ph.D., a certificate in Pedagogy of Music Theory, and a master’s degree from Florida State University. His Bachelor of Arts is from Luther College. He has a degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
