Can you imagine going to middle school without electricity? No electronics. No smart boards. Not even lightbulbs. Learning depends entirely on how much sunlight comes through the windows.

Nkoarisambu Secondary School is on the slopes of Mt. Meru, just outside Arusha, Tanzania. For the past 10 years, Peace by Piece, Inc. has sponsored day students at this school. Now, we’re taking the next step—helping renovate classrooms and bring electricity to the campus.

Thanks to the school community some progress has already been made. But there are 10 classrooms still without power.

We are hoping to raise $3,500 to complete the project and give these students something essential: light—so they can learn, study, and thrive every day.
