Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. we run/walk/train/pray at the tennis courts on Parker Road. Meet in the parking lot at 5:55 and then we're off!

The goal here is to spend at least 20 mins on your feet three times as week as we move towards a 5k in April. It's going to rain today and likely tomorrow so think about using a treadmill or adjusting your running/walking times to when it's dry outside. We are currently in Week 2 of the Couch To 5k Challenge. I will likely run tomorrow (Tues) evening in the rain but I don't expect you to. Just a heads up.

Rockdale Friends - Tuesday January 19th at 6 p.m. at the tennis courts on Parker Road. Group Run! I know it's dark. I also know it's cold but we have a 5k to train for in April. Come on out and walk/run/ We will follow the Couch to 5k Training Plan established by Run For God. PM me with questions. See you tomorrow evening!

Ok guys and gals - The Run For God Run Club Couch-to-Marathon program starts on January 17. If you haven't looked at it yet, here is the link below. We start off with a 5k Challenge (5k race in April is free in Dalton Ga!) and then a 10k and Half Marathon and then a full marathon in Jan 2021. Join us for the 5k or join for all of the challenges! Come walk. Come run. Come praise the Lord! Come make friends. We're starting up weekly group runs/walks in January. More info to come soon on that.

Hey everyone! Run For God is doing a 12-month long class taught by the founder Mitchell Hollis starting in January 2021. Class on Sunday evenings, run on your own (or with others!) and hit milestones through the year. 5k in April, 10k in July, Half Marathon in fall and full marathon in January 2022 at Disney! It's been a loooong time since we had our last Run For God class at RBC. I hope the Facebook notification for this post finds you and you're reading this. I was asked last week to consider being a part of the ministry that Run For God has established. I wanted to share with you that next week I am going to spend a day with the leadership team of Run For God up in their office in north Georgia. I don't know how it will go or what God wants me to do but....I wanted to ask you all to pray for Run For God and to pray for Mitchell Hollis, the owner. They need us and the ministry has done a lot for many of us on this group. Please be in prayer for Run For God and consider how we might be able to facilitate another class at Rockdale Baptist again soon. Scott Burkey
