Happy 11th birthday Tanner!! You are exactly who you were meant to be and god knew just what he was doing when he gave you to us! You bring a smile to the faces of every single person you meet. You make us all better just by being yourself. When strangers ask us questions about you and respond by saying “I’m so sorry”, I now respond with, “there’s nothing to be sorry for. He’s perfect and a blessing to our family”. Every day we wake up and say, “how can we make tanner smile today”. And we will continue to love you, protect you, fight for you and make you smile, every day…for the rest of our lives.

Your birthday is my favorite day of the year and I will never take it for granted.

Keep fighting my precious, strong, brave boy and enjoy your day. Mommy loves you!!
