Introducing 2024 Honoree: Alysha Clark
Alysha Clark currently plays for the defending WNBA Champions, the Las Vegas Aces. She has spent 12 seasons in the league since 2010, as the 17th pick in the WNBA draft to the San Antonio Silver Stars. During her time in the WNBA, she has accomplished many accolades including two WNBA All-Defensive team selections, three-time WNBA Championships, and most recently was selected 2023 WNBA Sixth Player of the Year. During her time in Seattle, Alysha worked with the Seattle Children’s Hospital as well as the Seattle Storm Foundation to provide an impact and devotion to the youth in the area. She also spent time with pediatric patients during her time playing professionally in Israel at the Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan. During her time with the Mystics, Alysha became a champion for an organization called Set the Expectation, which is a global network of current and former athletes dedicated to using the power of their platforms to champion community agencies and groups who serve families and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Lastly, in 2020, she spent her time being an advocate for social justice causes by speaking out against racial injustice and antisemitism, assisting people in various communities get registered to vote and she used her voice and platform to advocate for change. As an active community leader and passionate philanthropist off the court, Alysha’s hope is to impact the lives of people in her reach, throughout the communities she has played in, and far beyond.
