Healing bodies, reaching hearts. ❤️‍🩹

What an incredible week in Guatemala!

Together with Global Health Outreach, NMC, Guatemalan medical professionals, translators, and local volunteers, a team of 28 missionaries brought a mobile medical clinic to Patzutzun and Xecotoj.

In just a few days, nearly 300 people received medical care, medication, vitamins, reading glasses, dental care, and ultrasounds—all completely free. More than 50 people were also treated in Xecotoj.

But the greatest part was seeing people hear about God’s love, pray, and choose to follow Jesus. 🙏

Rain, long walks, and difficult roads could not stop people from coming. And now, as the medical team has gone home, the work continues for us at Casa del Redentor. We are praying, visiting, and walking alongside those who began a new journey with Jesus.

We believe this may be the beginning of something new in Patzutzun. Please pray with us for what God is going to do next!

October begins, and we’re joyfully joining in the celebration of Abraham’s birthday! 🎉

Abraham is our faithful head of facilities, maintenance, and so much more, and we’re incredibly grateful to God for his life, his gifts, and the many talents He has developed in him throughout the years. We’re especially thankful for the way Abraham has chosen to place those gifts at God’s disposal, using them to serve others and be a blessing to Casa del Redentor and to every community where we have the opportunity to serve. ❤️

Every day is special, but today has an extra reason to celebrate because it’s Keila’s birthday! 🎉🎂

Keila is our Bible teacher, and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate her today. You are such a blessing, an inspiration, and an incredible example to all of us and to every one of our students.

We pray that this new year of life brings you countless reasons to smile, many more moments of joy, and, of course, many more years of that contagious smile and that loud laugh we could never get tired of! 😂❤️

As your friends and ministry family, we want you to know how much we love and appreciate you. We are so grateful to know you, to work alongside you, and to have the privilege of serving together. We are incredibly proud of you and thankful for your faithful service, your passion, and the love you pour into this ministry and into the lives of our students.

Today, Guatemala is celebrating! 🇬🇹 We mark 205 years of independence, and we are deeply blessed to have been born in this beautiful land and, even more so, to have the opportunity to serve our own people.

We are incredibly grateful for the entire CDR family, for loving Guatemala so deeply and for helping us carry out this mission of serving and blessing our nation.

Today, we celebrate our culture, our identity, and our roots. But above all, we celebrate the truth that God has great plans and purposes for Guatemala. We believe there is so much more ahead for this beautiful country and its people.

This week, as part of Guatemala’s Independence celebrations 🇬🇹, the children at the Xecotoj school participated in a painting contest, and we had the privilege of being part of the judging panel.

It was so special to see them let their imaginations run free, express their artistic side, and honor Guatemala through their paintings. 🎨❤️

We love seeing our children discover and develop the talents God has given them while celebrating and honoring their country in such a creative way.

What a joy it is to be part of moments like these! 🇬🇹✨

We’re stepping into a new season for the ministry, and we’re excited to do it in new colors. 🖤💙

More than just a new shirt, these colors are a reminder of why this ministry exists and the purpose we’ve been called to. Every time we wear them, we’re reminded that it’s not about us, but about the people we get to serve and the work God has entrusted to us.

And, of course, what better way to break them in than with a hike! 🥾⛰️

Two weeks ago, we had the privilege of welcoming an incredible team of high school students from North Metro Church. In just one week, together we served with joyful hearts, bringing hope, laughter, and the love of Christ to children and families in Panajachel, Patzutzun, Chuitziyut, and Xecotoj. ❤️

🎨 In Panajachel, we refreshed the school sports court by repainting the goals, hoops, and lines, creating a brighter space for kids to play.

💻 In Patzutzun, we painted the brand new computer lab where, for the first time in the community’s history, many children will have the opportunity to learn computer skills.

🎶 Throughout the week, we led songs, games, Bible lessons, and shared meals, including hot dogs with hundreds of children, creating moments filled with joy and connection.

⛪ In Chuitziyut, we gathered for a special worship service where our student pastor preached in Spanish while the students led worship. One of the most memorable moments was the creative dramatization of David and Goliath, which brought the story to life and powerfully reminded everyone that God is greater than every giant we face.

🏡 To close the week, we had the joy of visiting two dear families connected to our ministry. Earlier this year, our men’s team had the privilege of serving both families through special building projects, and it was a blessing to return, spend time together, and witness firsthand how God continues to work in their lives.

We are incredibly grateful for these amazing students who chose to spend part of their summer serving others. Their willingness to love, encourage, and faithfully share God’s Word left a lasting impact, not only on the communities we serve, but also on all of us at Casa del Redentor. 🤍

We pray that every seed planted through every song, every game, every conversation, every project, every Bible story, and every act of love will continue to bear fruit for years to come. 🌱✝️

A few weeks ago, we met two families whose stories deeply moved our hearts and gave us the opportunity to serve them by helping improve their homes.

Thanks to NMC’s first all-men mission team, we were able to build a brand-new home for Estefany’s family in just a few days, providing them with a safer and more spacious place to live. Every step of the project, from removing the first old, rotten board to driving in the very last screw on the front door, was completed with love, passion, hard work, and countless prayers. Watching the entire process unfold was a beautiful reminder of how God works in extraordinary ways, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of what He is doing.

We were also able to provide construction materials for Marta’s family so that she, her husband, and their son can replace the damaged sections of their home, making it stronger, safer, and better prepared for the seasons ahead.

On the final day of the mission, together with our friends from Busquemos a Dios Juntos , we distributed 162 food bags to families in Patzutzun and Chuitziyut. Along with each bag, we shared the message of faith, hope, and the abundant life that Jesus offers to everyone.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, gave, served, and supported this mission. Your generosity is helping people in Guatemala not only experience practical love but also find and follow Jesus. ❤️🇬🇹
