In December 2011, we launched a 24/7 hotline with volunteers trained to answer rescue calls. Those volunteers activate responders who are trained to make contact with and offer rescue to victims of s*x trafficking and exploitation. Victims are offered a safe place to stay until they can transition to appropriate restorative services. In 2013 we merged with Atlanta Dream Center (now Frontline Respo

nse) and became the anti-trafficking department of the organization. As part of our efforts to get our hotline number to women in need, we do street and strip club outreach, as well as jail mentorship. Every Saturday, volunteers participate in Princess Night, going out to exploited women in our community with the message that they are loved and beautiful. If you are interested in participating in Princess Night, please register at frontlineresponse.org. In 2014, a group of passionate advocates in the Macon area launched Out of Darkness Middle GA. They engage in outreach and rescue and have a goal of opening a transitional home for women. In 2015, a group in Ohio organized to launch Out of Darkness Columbus OH. They do street and strip club outreach, operate a drop-in center, and run an emergency safe home. In 2020, Out of Darkness was named the adult s*x trafficking victim service provider for the Georgia statewide human trafficking hotline, 1-866-END-HTGA.

We are running low on towels, shampoo, and conditioner and would love for you to partner with us to make sure each of these baskets are filled!
