🇺🇸 Freedom Looks Different When You’re a Caregiver 🇺🇸

This 4th of July, while fireworks light up the sky and families gather to celebrate freedom, many caregivers are quietly showing a different kind of independence — the kind rooted in love, sacrifice, and commitment.

Caregiving doesn’t come with holidays off.
It doesn’t pause for cookouts or fireworks.
But it does come with courage, patience, and a heart willing to put someone else first.

Today, we celebrate the freedom we’re blessed with — and we honor the caregivers who choose, every single day, to stand in the gap for someone who can’t do it alone.

Happy Pride! Celebrating our LGBTQ+ elders! 🏳️‍🌈

This Pride and Juneteenth, we're thinking about Cora Latz and Etta Perkins, who were a le***an couple who met in 1972 and stayed together until Perkins’ death in 1998. In 1973, they held a commitment ceremony; in 1998, they privately renewed their vows with the staff who cared for them at the Jewish Home for the Aged.
