Project Child - Tanzania

Project Child - Tanzania Project Child brings rescue, hope and educational opportunity to many children in a very impoverished area of Tanzania, one of the poorest countries in Africa.

Imara's Project CHILD is a Christian Holistic Investment in the Lives of Deprived children. The Imara Scholarship/Sponsorship program is unique due to its truly holistic approach. It seeks to bring orphaned and impoverished Tanzanian children into a life transforming encounter with the Kingdom of God and give them hope and a future through sponsorships/scholarships. This is done through a combinat

ion child sponsorship and scholarship program providing spiritual, educational, economic, social and physical growth opportunities. Sponsored children are fed, educated, discipled, mentored, and loved from entrance into the program until they leave or graduate from the program. Partnerships between Imara, Tanzanian and International Churches implement the program within the development of a Christian school in the village.

One of our child sponsors passed away recently leaving two Project Child sponsored children in Karansi TZ. This is a perfect opportunity for someone to pick up a child in 6th grade and/or one in 8th grade and help them receive their education for the next 3 or 5 years before they graduate out of our Project Child program and go onto College or University if that is their dream.

Andy Stanley recently completed a series entitled Modern Men & Our Ancient Scripts, where he shared 18 examples of what it looks like for men to follow Jesus scripts for masculinity built from His teaching and the way He lived. A good pattern to follow.

The Pour Over offered a good perspective this morning while looking at the continued disfunction in Washington - almost regardless of the topic.

"CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE
If our hope in life is based on whether a political party can “win” against its opponent, then our mood will always depend on the news, and our spiritual houses are being built on sand. But if our hope is based solely on the eternal security provided by Christ, then we can weather any storm.

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”
Matthew 7:24-25"

Join me as we enter this season of remembering the resurrection of Jesus having paid the penalty for our sins, He now lives with the Father as we live with the Holy Spirit indwelling each believer.

There is so much forgiveness needed in this world. The anquish that many of us live with could be resolved if only forgivness was requested, and even if it isn't that forgiveness was GIVEN.

If we only have a partial understanding of the degree of our personal sin against the Father, our parents, our children or spouses and our neighbors, then we would see how much forgiveness Jesus has shown to us. This is especially impactful when we remember that "While we were yet sinners Christ died for us." JESUS LED WITH FORGIVENESS - WHY CAN'T WE ALSO.
