🌟ARTISAN SPOTLIGHT🌟

Manuel, our carpenter, is a very talented young man. He plays guitar on his worship team at his church and works part-time with Women of Hope, creating these beautiful nativity scenes out of cyprus wood

Diego is an artist, a deacon, and a worship leader at his church in Santiago. He has his own shop in Guatemala where he sells his paintings and local artisan's hand crafted items

Mirsa is a mother of 3 who embroiders the nativity figures and sews the beads along the edges to make them extra special

We have two different options for these gorgeous nativity houses. One has the starry background and comes with embroidered figures, the other has the entire scene painted inside except for baby Jesus - he comes embroidered.

Today is Clara’s birthday!!! Can’t believe she is 28 years old today. We celebrated yesterday at the ministry center with her favorite carrot cake!

Happy birthday to Marta! Marta joined our team last year in Oct and we are so glad she did. Today we celebrated her 19th birthday with lunch.

This was our first Sept birthday - we have 4 total and the last few days of Aug we had two! Friday the 28th we celebrated Veronica’s 34th birthday (actual on the 27th) and Monday the 31st we celebrated Maria’s 49th (actual on the 30th). We didn’t get fotos of these two 😊

This year we are giving them the option of choosing lunch or a birthday cake (which they take half home to share with family) - most are choosing lunch of rotisserie chicken & potatoes. And I can’t let them not have a sweet dessert so we also have ice cream. 🎉🎂💐

Happy Birthday to our artisan Andrea! Tomorrow she will be 30 yrs old.

We are grateful for her life and pray that the continues to bless her. Today we celebrated with lunch rather than cake (her choice).

This beautiful Monday morning we are learning a little about taking care of our bodies! Desi and her intern are teaching our artisans exercises to help them use movement to help with stress and sitting & working with beads all day.

Then we’ll have a little refreshment and devotional with Romans 12:1-2.
