Today’s second reading simplifies it all for us:

The most innocent of beings chose obedience, even to death on a cross, to follow the will of the Father.

May we always choose to die to ourselves and do nothing out of selfishness, so that we may follow Christ fully 🕊️

Did you know the “Holy Hour” you know today was popularized by Fulton Sheen in the 20th century?

Archbishop, radio host, and television personality Fulton J. Sheen will be beatified tomorrow in St. Louis. He was an example of a life rooted in prayer, devotion to the Eucharist, and a deep love for sharing the Gospel.

His daily Holy Hour was at the heart of his spiritual life. May his witness inspire us to spend more time with Jesus, too. 🕊️

St. Matthew reminds us that Jesus doesn’t wait for us to have it all together before He calls us. He simply says, “Follow me.”

And Matthew got up and followed Him.
