After a loss, families are often asked to make big decisions in just a few days — sometimes hours.

In that rush, it’s easy to:

* Assume help will be available later and then find out it isn’t
* Put expenses on credit cards or take loans just to “get through it”

Did you know that in the UK they recognize Funeral Poverty Awareness Week (Feb 3-9)? This campaign aims to raise awareness about the rising costs of funerals, which often force families into debt. We will be posting more information this week to help bring awareness.

Their donation came at a time when a family had just lost their child and urgently needed an urn. Because of their kindness, we were able to meet that need and support a family during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.
